Revisión y evaluación por pares

Manuscripts received by the journal have a two-month evaluation period. The content is the responsibility of the authors. Upon initiating the manuscript review process, they will be submitted to the Turnitin plagiarism detection tool, and any similarities must be explained by the authors. The Editorial Committee reviews the manuscripts and evaluates whether they meet academic quality and originality standards.

Articles that meet the requirements will be sent for anonymous evaluation by two external reviewers using a double-blind method. Reviewers must be familiar with standards on plagiarism and peer review, and they must maintain confidentiality. They can recommend one of the following outcomes: acceptance for publication; modifications without needing to go through another review process; modifications with a requirement for another review process; or rejection of the work. Evaluation results must be submitted in the established format. Once evaluated, the reviewers' comments will be communicated to the authors. The evaluation and publication process takes between three and six months.

Two reviewers will be sought who are affiliated with institutions external to the entity.

Reviewers cannot belong to the same institution as the authors submitting the articles for publication. If the article is sent for modifications, the authors must submit their corrected work through the platform along with a document explaining how the received revisions were addressed.

If the document is accepted by the Editor for publication, the authors will receive communication from the Editorial Producer, who will inform them about the publication process.

Acceptance for Publication

The Editorial Producer will inform the authors of the publication date along with the final editing requirements and publication authorization; this document must be completed by all authors. The Editorial Coordination will notify the receipt and include the number where the article will be published (year, volume, number).

Style correction will begin three months before the publication of the issue where the work is scheduled. Authors will be informed about the process for making any necessary corrections before publication.

Once final approval is obtained, the article will be integrated into the final compilation, and the respective publication will take place.

Duties of Reviewers

The evaluation principles include:

  • Objectivity, rejection of conflicts of interest, constructive comments on the quality and presentation of data, use of impartial language, adherence to agreed deadlines, and preservation of confidentiality.

  • Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts, comment on statistical aspects and ethical practices, and use only published information.

  • Complete the evaluation form and seek additional advice from the editor if necessary, without compromising the confidentiality of the work.

These principles ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the academic review process.
