Declaración de Buenas Prácticas Editoriales
Control Visible Journal adheres to the best editorial practices as declared by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and its Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (https://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct). The editorial team of Control Visible Journal will ensure that authors and peer reviewers respect ethical principles in all phases of the publication process. In this section, we have reproduced some best practices for authors and editorial recommendations from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO). https://revistas.flacsoandes.edu.ec/
About Authors and Authorship
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication (CC BY-ND 3.0 Creative Commons License).
Authors may deposit (self-archive) the articles in the Post-print version (editorial version) at the time of publication.
Publishing in the journal is free of charge and all individual articles and full issues are available in open access.
Refrain from multiple/repetitive submissions of articles to different journals or publishers. This is considered unacceptable conduct in the dissemination of academic research.
Respect the original sources consulted in their article. Bibliographic references must be correctly and completely cited.
Errors in published articles. When an author identifies an error or inaccuracy in their work, they must inform the editorial team and provide the necessary information for corrections.
Authors commit to reviewing the most current and prominent academic literature on the subject they are researching.
Order the authorship according to the level of responsibility and involvement in the article. Authors guarantee the inclusion of those who have made a significant scientific and intellectual contribution to the conceptualization, planning, interpretation of results, and writing of the work.
Access and retention. If deemed appropriate by the editors, authors must provide the sources or information on which the article is based. These data will be retained by the editors for a reasonable period after publication and eventually made accessible.
Conflict of interest and disclosure. All authors must explicitly declare that there are no conflicts of interest that could have influenced the results obtained or the interpretations proposed. Authors must also indicate any funding from research projects, universities, and/or civil society.
About Peer Reviewers
Contribution to the editorial decision. Reviewers commit to conducting a critical and constructive review within the standards of scientific quality.
Inform if there are conflicts of interest. When a reviewer has any personal or financial opinion or interest that could affect their objectivity in their evaluation, they should refrain from participating in the editorial process.
Confidentiality. Once the review process is complete, the reviewer should refrain from disclosing the content to external parties.
Respect the deadlines agreed with the journal. Reviewers are responsible for notifying the editors if there are any issues in delivering the evaluation on time.
The opinions provided by peers will be part of the repository supporting the journal's production.
About Editor Responsibilities
Honesty. Ensure transparency in the evaluation, editing, and publication processes of each issue.
Confidentiality. The editorial team will maintain a commitment to truth and respect for the editorial process in all its phases.
Respond to inquiries via email. Queries and clarifications requested by authors, reviewers, or any interested party will be promptly answered.
Facilitate corrections. Corrections or clarifications will be published through the journal's website.
Dissemination. The published issue will be disseminated to repositories, databases, and social networks.
Publication process. Editors will critically select the most capable reviewers.
Conflict of interest and disclosure. Editors commit to not using content from articles submitted for publication in their research without the author's written consent.
Respect deadlines. Editors are responsible for meeting time limits for reviews and publication of accepted works to ensure quick dissemination of scientific results. They commit to adhering to the published timelines (a maximum of 4 weeks for acceptance/rejection from manuscript submission on the Review Platform) and a maximum of 12 weeks from the start of the peer review process.
